The banana bench cover is designed to offer long lasting all weather protection all year round. It is shaped for optimal water drainage, as well as keeping the beautiful banana bench looking great even covered. The cover features a large mesh panel at the front and back, which helps ensure airflow and breathability to this 100% waterproof cover.

Manufactured from heavy duty PVC-ST, this textile is 100% waterproof, mildew resistant, extremely strong, and has excellent UV stability. It is able to cope in temperatures of -30/+70°, so is ideal for use in places such as Spain, France and Switzerland.

There are strong brass eyelets around the bottom and strong elasticated shock cord to thread through and secure the cover in place. This is also known as a moon bench cover.

Important care tips: Always make sure that your sofa set and the inside of the cover is dry before use, and air your furniture regularly.

This cover has been specifically shaped for the 5ft banana bench. But we note there may be variations – so please do double check that this cover will fit your banana bench.

When measuring the width (front-to-back) please do this from in line with the very back to in line with the very front.

The measurements we show are those of the actual cover, therefore you should consider allowing for adequate ‘wiggle’ room to easily get the cover on and off, and there should ideally be a slight gap at the ground. In most cases a good fit for a cover usually means:

The cover should be approx. 1-3cm more in length compared to your furniture
The cover should be approx. 1-3cm less in height compared to your furniture (more if you wish for more of a gap)

This textile is truly 100% waterproof this is superior to ‘water-resistant’. PVC-ST can take an extremely high volume and pressure of water.

It also has excellent UV stability.

This cover features strong brass eyelets frequently spaced around the bottom, with thick robust elasticated shock cord to thread through and secure in place.

Shock cord can be tucked beneath feet/legs on some items of furniture. It is also very easy to replace or amend.

Are there any care tips?

Always ensure that your furniture and the inside of the cover is clean and dry before putting the cover in place.

Air your furniture regularly.

When the cover is not in use keep it neatly folded somewhere safe.

Always use the brass eyelets and shock cord to secure the cover in place.

How do I clean/maintain this cover?

Due to PVC-ST being non-porous, it means heavy rain will wash away most dirt and grime for you! But to clean it properly just give it a wipe with a wet sponge or use a hose pipe on low pressure setting.

How thick is the textile?

We use a 580-600gsm PVC-ST which is classed as a heavy duty textile, this is also why it is so long lasting and strong.

Is the mesh waterproof?

Due to mesh having the small air holes within it is not 100% waterproof, but because we place the mesh low down each end of the cover it means rain coming down or angled should run down the water resistant mesh. If any small amount does get through it will run down and off of the cover.

Mesh is important if you are looking for the cover to have breathability

Is this cover breathable?

Note any textile which is 100% waterproof means it is not breathable, but if you choose to have mesh then this cover will have some breathability - This means the mesh placed down low each end helps allow airflow into the cover, and helps any trapped moisture to escape. But note due to the top panel being 100% waterproof we do still advise airing your pool table regularly.

What happens if this cover does not fit?

We supply lots of information on the measurements of this cover to try and avoid this situation. But if in the instance it does not fit, please get in touch with us straight away or within 14 days so we may help organise your return/refund or exchange subject to our terms and conditions.

How do you secure the cover in place?

We supply a strong elasticated shock cord which you thread through the brass eyelets around the bottom of the cover, pull tight and tie a knot.
