This covered has been manufactured by us in the UK, using only high quality materials and manufacturing methods. This is why we see many of our covers far exceeding the 5 year guarantee period.

PVC-ST textile is ideal for offering the very best protection to outdoor furniture all around the UK, as it is 100% waterproof (even under high pressure and volumes of water) and is extremely durable and strong. The UV stability is superior (in comparison to polyesters and canvas) and it has great resistance to mildew and mould spores.

If your bench is Teak (or requiring breathability) then we do advise choosing the additional option of having mesh in your cover – as this will allow some breathability and airflow beneath the cover. Any textile which is 100% waterproof (which means fully waterproof to even high pressures and volumes) means it can not be truly breathable- Therefore we are able to HF weld breathable mesh panels low down allowing airflow and breathability. Due to the angle and placement, rain runs off/down from the mesh, but allows airflow through. Mesh also helps alleviate condensation as it allows moisture to escape. However, for some benches we do advise considering a Sunbrella plus acrylic bench cover (available through getting a custom cover from us).

The measurements we show are those of the actual cover, therefore you should consider allowing for adequate ‘wiggle’ room to easily get the cover on and off, and there should ideally be a slight gap at the ground. In most cases a good fit for a cover usually means:

The cover should be approx. 1-3cm more in length and width compared to your item
The cover should be approx. 1-3cm less in height compared to your item (more if you wish for more of a gap)

This textile is truly 100% waterproof this is superior to ‘water-resistant’. PVC-ST can take an extremely high volume and pressure of water.

It also has excellent UV stability.

This cover features strong brass eyelets frequently spaced around the bottom, with thick robust elasticated shock cord to thread through and secure in place.

Shock cord can be tucked beneath feet/legs on some items of furniture. It is also very easy to replace or amend.

Are there any care tips?

Always ensure that your furniture and the inside of the cover is clean and dry before putting the cover in place.

Air your bench regularly.

When the cover is not in use keep it neatly folded somewhere safe.

Always use the brass eyelets and shock cord to secure the cover in place.

How do I clean/maintain this cover?

Due to PVC-ST being non-porous, it means heavy rain will wash away most dirt and grime for you! But to clean it properly just give it a wipe with a wet sponge or use a hose pipe on low setting.

How thick is the textile?

We use a 580-600gsm PVC-ST which is classed as a heavy duty textile, this is also why it is so long lasting and strong.

Is the mesh waterproof?

Due to mesh having the small air holes within it is not 100% waterproof, but because we place the mesh low down each end of the cover it means rain coming down or angled should run down the water resistant mesh. If any small amount does get through it will run down and off of the cover.

Mesh is important if you are looking for the cover to have breathability

Is this cover breathable?

Note any textile which is 100% waterproof means it is not breathable, but if you choose to have mesh then this cover will have some breathability - This means the mesh placed down low each end helps allow airflow into the cover, and helps any trapped moisture to escape. But note due to the top panel being 100% waterproof we do still advise airing your bench regularly.

What happens if this cover does not fit?

We supply lots of information on the measurements of this cover to try and avoid this situation. But if in the instance it does not fit, please get in touch with us straight away or within 14 days so we may help organise your return/refund or exchange subject to our terms and conditions.

How do you secure the cover in place?

We supply a strong elasticated shock cord which you thread through the brass eyelets around the bottom of the cover, pull tight and tie a knot.

This is not the right size for my bench do you have other sizes?
